You’ll be with me, like a handprint on my heart

Track night again tonight, and it was a tough one since we were doing hill training. Now hills are already hard to begin with, but especially when we do them a mere three days after a very tough 18 mile run (which, by the way, was also hilly, since it was run in San Francisco–’nuff said), it’s enough to put the fear of God into any runner.

So needless to say, I was a little nervous going into tonight’s workout. But as has been the case for the last few weeks, it seems that when I’m most in need of encouragement, it comes to me suddenly.

Tonight, I saw another dragonfly as I was finishing up a challenging hill workout.

And of course, it made me smile and gave me the boost I needed. It’s a reminder that I never get tired of :).
